The Jefferson boys basketball team won its second consecutive district championship after beating visiting Valle Catholic 74-64 Friday night.
The Blue Jays improved to 18-8 this season after beating the Warriors (16-13) to claim the Class 3 District 3 title; they won District 4 in 2024. Cooper Frisk and Colton Broadwater led Jefferson with 21 points apiece.
The Blue Jays stay home to host Soldan (11-8) on Monday night in the state sectionals. Valle beat Jefferson 63-62 in Ste. Genevieve in January.
