The Eureka boys and girls basketball teams continue play in holiday tournaments tonight (Dec. 28).

The Wildcat boys (6-3) play Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Maryville University. A few miles east, Eureka’s girls (8-4) play Pattonville at 6 p.m. in the third-place game of the Visitation Christmas Tournament. John Burroughs and Incarnate Word Academy tip off in the final following the third-place game.

It’s the second meeting in a week for Eureka’s boys against Lafayette. The Wildcats shredded the Lancers 43-28 on Dec. 21. Guard Mason Dunlap continued to have the hot hand for Eureka with a team-high 16 points.

In the first round of the tournament at Maryville, the Wildcats posted 27 points through three quarters against Webster Groves, but pulled away with 20 in the fourth of a 46-37 victory, their third straight.
