A senior, Driemeier repeated as the Class 4 state champion in an all-class course record of 14:49.2 on the 3.1-mile (5K) course at Gans Creek in Columbia on Nov. 7. Driemeier’s state-winning time in 2024 was 15:59.5. The Tigers (86 points) finished second behind West Plains (81) in the team standings for the second year in a row. The Zizzers won their state-record 15th state crown. Festus has won 11. Driemeier was the Tigers’ No. 1 runner on the state championship team in 2023. Driemeier has won the last three JCAA titles and recently committed to Iowa State University.
