WOW! Entertainment, an “eatertainment” venue packed with miniature golf, bowling, karaoke and virtual reality games while also offering food and beverages, will open Feb. 27.
Tommy Fernandez, director of operations, said WOW! Entertainment is a place where memories can be made for all age groups. The new facility at 138 Fiedler Lane is located off Hwy. 141 in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton.
“It’s a destination,” Fernandez said. “We offer a wide variety of different things that people can have fun with. Where we’re at, there’s really nothing like this out here in terms of this style of venue.
“It really made sense to be out here in the Fenton area, where you don’t have to drive 30-40 minutes away to the city or St. Charles to get to some of these attractions that may be available; you can do it right here.”
WOW! Entertainment will have an indoor restaurant and bar; 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course; three outdoor patios, including one on a mezzanine overlooking the golf course; four karaoke booths able to accommodate parties of up to 10 people; Topgolf Swing Suite simulators, which also include hockey, soccer, football and baseball simulations; virtual reality games; eight lanes for duckpin bowling; and tabletop curling.
Fernandez said admission into the venue is free. Customers will pay as they go for most of the attractions, like bowling and mini golf, and will be asked to make reservations ahead of time for certain other attractions, like karaoke.
The restaurant will feature made-from-scratch meals such as pizza, smash burgers and jumbo wings. Fernandez said WOW! Entertainment’s staple entrees are the bison dog, a hot dog topped with tomatoes, red onions, jalapenos, cheddar jack and blue cheese, and the mustang cheese fries, which are topped with Wisconsin cheese, applewood smoked bacon, green onions and pickled jalapenos.
“Our price scheme really aligns with what’s going on in the world today,” Fernandez said. “It’s good quality food at a fair price.”
The venue will have a grab-and-go food station for those who are looking for quicker meal options, he said. The station, called “The WOW-Z,” will be stocked with bottled beverages, sandwiches and ice cream bars, among other items.
Fernandez said customers can order food from the restaurant to go as well.
WOW! Entertainment will have a full cocktail menu with various specials in the bar area, along with 16 taps of beer, he said.
According to a press release, WOW! Entertainment plans to hire more than 85 employees, including servers, bartenders, line cooks, dishwashers and maintenance workers for the new facility.
“WOW! is designed to be a place where people come together, and that starts with the team behind it,” Fernandez said. “As we’re preparing to open our doors, we’re excited to connect with people interested in rewarding opportunities and being part of a community-focused workplace.”
Fernandez said this is WOW! Entertainment’s first location, but he believes there is potential to grow.
“If this goes really well, I foresee more of these in the future,” he said. “This is a place where you can create memorable moments, have delicious food with amazing service, and you’re going to have a lot of fun when you’re here. You’ll be wowed.”
