Wilkinson will be a sophomore at Festus next month. He pitched a perfect game in five innings and struck out eight batters in a win over Bonne Terre on June 30. Used in relief for most of the year, it was just Wilkinson’s second start of the season for the Post 253 freshman team, which won the District 13 championship Saturday night after beating Farmington 6-5.
