The De Soto sophomore captured the 180-pound championship at the United States Marine Corps Cadet/Junior Freestyle National Championships last month in Fargo, N.D. After a 3-2 win in overtime in the semifinals against Brianna Staebler of Wisconsin, Foeller won the title with a 7-0 decision over Adelina Parra of California. Foeller wrestled for the Dragons’ boys last season, but will be among the first class of female wrestlers in the state to compete within their own gender this school year.
