In a doubleheader against JCAA large-schools rival Hillsboro in De Soto on April 9, Dill, a senior, pitched a complete game as the Dragons won the opener 6-2. He scattered seven hits and struck out five and contributed a hit, a run and a run batted in. In De Soto’s 8-6 win in the nightcap, Dill had a hit and scored two runs. Going into the doubleheader, Dill led the St. Louis area in batting with a .636 average.
