1/4 cup margarine

1 tablespoon sugar

1 package Ramen Noodles, crushed (discard seasoning packet)

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

1/4 cup pecans

1 1/2 bunches of romaine lettuce        

2 green onions, thinly chopped

1/4 cup dates, chopped (optional)

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon oil

2 tablespoon vinegar

In large skillet, melt margarine and sugar over medium heat. Add noodles, sesame seeds and pecans; cook and stir for 6 to 8 minutes or until browned; set aside. In large salad bowl, cup up romaine lettuce; add green onions and dates. Combine honey, oil and vinegar in a container with a tight-fitting lid; shake well. Drizzle over salad and top with noodle mixture. Toss to coat.
