Arnold-area woman accused of fleeing police, drug possession

Kimberly Hanacek

Kimberly Marie Hanacek, 39, who lives west of Arnold, allegedly sped away from a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy five days after she was found with a controlled substance at an Arnold-area home, according to court documents.

Hanacek on March 23 was charged with felony aggravated fleeing a stop or detention and felony possession of a controlled substance. On March 27, she was released on a $2,000 bond from the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records show.

According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Sheriff’s Office, Hanacek on Nov. 19, 2025, was arguing with a man at a home in the 600 block of Northview Drive west of Arnold. She allegedly chased the man with a pry bar and threw a can of brake cleaner, which hit the man in the head.

A deputy allegedly found a bag containing a crystal-like substance in Hanacek’s pocket. The deputy released Hanacek at the scene pending the application for a warrant, the report said.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 9 identified the substance as methamphetamine, court records show.

On Nov. 23, 2025, a Sheriff’s Office deputy went to an apartment complex in the 10 block of Fiedler Court in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton to arrest Hanacek on a felony warrant. The deputy saw Hanacek backing a 2024 Buick Envision from a parking space in the complex’s lot, and he got out of his vehicle to stop her, the case’s probable-cause statement said

After the deputy told Hanacek that she was being arrested, she allegedly sped away from him, while he was holding the door handle of the SUV that she was driving. The deputy got into his patrol vehicle and located Hanacek driving on Hwy. 141, the report said.

The deputy turned on his vehicle’s emergency lights to stop Hanacek, but she allegedly sped away again. The deputy wrote that Hanacek was speeding and failed to stop for a red light before turning left onto Hwy. 21, where he ended his pursuit as she drove out of Jefferson County.
