3 cups seedless red or green grapes, halved lengthwise
1 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
24 slices French bread (diagonally cut ½ inch thick), toasted on both sides
½ cup shaved Romano cheese
Thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, toss grapes with vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl, adding zest.
Change oven setting to broil.
Place bread slices on an ungreased baking sheet. Top bread with grapes; sprinkle with Romano cheese and basil. Broil 3-4 inches from heat 1-2 minutes until light brown.
