Zoe B. Rhymer,16, of Ste. Genevieve died April 7, 2014, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Zoe loved art, listening to music, crosses and taking pictures. Born April 9, 1997, in Ste. Genevieve, she was the daughter of Christopher (Amanda) Rhymer of Ste. Genevieve and Robin (special friend Daniel Layton) Hogenmiller of Perryville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister: Shelbea Rhymer of Ste. Genevieve; a brother: Zachary Rhymer of Ste. Genevieve; two stepbrothers: Kaden Copeland and Haden Copeland, both of Ste. Genevieve; three grandparents: Victoria Duvall of Festus, Cecil (Karen) Rhymer of Cape Girardeau and Barbara Mendenhall of Ste. Genevieve; a great-grandmother: Patricia Derousse; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her special friend, Patrick Lipp. She was preceded in death by a grandfather: Chester "Gig" Scherer; and a great-grandfather: Robert Monia.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. and memorial services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at Basler Funeral Home, 685 Center Dr., in Ste. Genevieve, officiated by the Rev. Joe Mancuso. Zoe chose to be a tissue donor. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home.
