Winkelmann, Milton

Milton “Wink” Winkelmann, 77, of High Ridge died Feb. 6, 2014, in Beaumont, Texas.  Wink enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a skillful musician, playing bass guitar, drums and piano. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the National Rifle Association. Born Oct. 3, 1936, in St. Louis, Wink was the son of the late Albert and Violet (Kempen) Winkelmann.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Phyllis (Stubblefield) Winkelmann; six children: Lisa Winkelmann of Houston, Texas; Laura Dresson of Houston, Texas; Michael Winkelmann of Cuba, No.; Kimberly Winkelmann; Tim McCaffrey of St. Louis; and Rena (Allen) Henson of House Springs; 16 grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, Keith, Jeffery, Andrea, Brandon, Nicholas, Chase, Lita, Brooke, Maggie, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kylie, Michael Dean and Mikayla; and five great-grandchildren: Alexi, Mila, Brandon Jr., Adalynn and Zoey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Winkelmann.

Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. today (Feb. 13) at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
