Wilma Juanita Hanson, 84, of Herculaneum died Jan. 28, 2018. Mrs. Hanson was a beautician for 52 years. She was a member of the Church of God. Born Jan. 19, 1934, in Annapolis, she was the daughter of the late Lela (Ruble) and the Rev. Roy Sherrill.
She is survived by four children: David Elders of Farmington, Thomas Elders of Farmington, Debbie (Elders) Commerford of Festus and Christie Shepherd of Tennessee; two siblings: Wayne (Vivian) Sherrill and Sharon Sherrill, both of Farmington; six grandchildren: Michelle (Steven) Vavra of Lebanon, Mo., Valerie Commerford of Herculaneum, Stacy (Adam) Eckhardt of St. Louis, Matt Eckhardt of St. Louis and
Abigail and Amelia Shepherd of Tennessee; four great-grandchildren: Corbin Vavra, Logan Southward, Khloe Southward and Vincent Eckhardt; and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Mike Commerford; six siblings: Bob, Dale, Jan, Ron, Pat and Mike; and special family George and Jean Hammack.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Taylor Funeral Home in Farmington. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home.
