Pfister, William

William David Pfister, 77, of High Ridge died Dec. 17, 2022. Mr. Pfister worked as a cable splicer with AT&T for 47 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved anything that had to do with fishing and hunting. He also loved woodworking, and in his younger days he painted beautiful scenery that is still displayed in his house to this day. Born Aug. 23, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late William F. and Angeline (Luttrell) Pfister.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Susan K. (Flotron) Pfister; three children: Mark Flotron, Suzanne Hickerson and William (Kristina) Pfister Jr.; three grandchildren: Ashley Flotron, Amanda Flotron and Connor Hickerson; three siblings: Brenda Smith, Bonnie (Larry) Vandeven and Sharon Kingston; close friend Bob Andrew; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Bill Smith and Don Kingston.  

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
