Virginia A. Ladd, 87, of De Soto died Feb. 1, 2017, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Ladd was a homemaker. Born Feb. 18, 1929, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Horace Walker and Edith (Farley) Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband: Burton A. Ladd.
She is survived by three children: Kathy Daugherty of Blue Springs, John (Ann) Ladd Sr. of Old Mines and David (Stephanie) Ladd of Blue Springs; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Cindi Graham; and three siblings: Joseph L. Ames, Mildred Winemiller and Mary Lou Rouse.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 3, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
