Vicky Susan Schmidt, 68, of Arnold died May 23, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Schmidt was a retired nurse and also worked for Aschinger Electric. She enjoyed fishing, painting, garage sales and horse racing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Born Oct. 3, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Alice Ramona (Tosie) and John H. Gedville.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years: Dale Schmidt; three children: Sherri McKenna of Imperial, Kerri Blind-Wallace of Fenton and Mandi (Brian) Messina of Fenton; two sisters: Donna (Bud) Dorlac of Fenton and Kathy (Bill) Gatterer of Imperial; six grandchildren: Justin and Codie Blunda, Kourtney Benson, Stella Blind and Londyn and Grayson Messina; two great-grandchildren: Viviana Blunda and Sofya Benson; a sister-in-law: Sheryl LaMontagne of Imperial; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: John “Jeff” Gedville.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Tremayne Shelter at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park, 13725 Marine Ave., in Creve Coeur. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation Services.
