Shirley M. Miller, 85, Arnold

Shirley M. Miller, 85, of Arnold died Nov. 26, 2021, at her home. Ms. Miller was a longtime member of St. David Catholic Church in Arnold, where she enjoyed volunteering and going on outings with fellow parishioners. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, friends and dog, Chip. Born July 2, 1936, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Carrie and Louis Hirte.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Miller.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Miller of Bonne Terre and Michael Miller of Arnold; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Scott) Wynn and Melissa, Joseph, Kyle and Scott Miller; and five great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Madelyn, Chase, Chloe and Cali.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Gary Miller.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 8) at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral Mass will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 9) at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
