Shirley Angela Harvey, 83, of Festus died Jan. 18, 2020, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur. Mrs. Harvey was a payroll specialist at Absorbent Cotton Co. in Valley Park and a member of Our Lady Church in Festus. A devoted Catholic, she was well known for her laugh, kindness and warmth towards others. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, cooking, and volunteering at Our Lady’s and hospice. She was born Sept. 17, 1936, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Bertha Kiel and Woffard Bimslager.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Paul Harvey, who was her teenage sweetheart; three sons: Steve (Terry) Harvey of Bonne Terre, Michael (Carla) Harvey of Festus and Dave (Christina) Harvey of Fenton; two daughters: Sharon (Dewey) Dykes of Fayetteville, Ark., and Karen (Andrew) Brown of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren: Kyle, Taylor, Cameron, Jaclyn, Sara, Kelly, Dewey, Danielle, Lee, Caitlin, Kevin, Connor, David, Jessica and Melissa; 12 great-grandchildren: Hudson, Maddox, Savannah, Blake, Faye, Beau, James, Kendyl, Landry, Lane, Cooper and Soren; her in-laws: Joe (Stella) Harvey of Lake Ozark, Chuck Harvey of St. Louis and Margaret Davis of Hillsboro;

and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Bob Bimslager.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Evelyn’s House, 1000 N. Mason Road, Creve Coeur, 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
