Sarah Elizabeth Penberthy, 41, of Festus died April 11, 2022, in St. Louis. Mrs. Penberthy was an assistant director with Dynamic Edge Dance Studio in Fenton and a member of First United Methodist Church in Festus. She was born Aug. 3, 1980, in St. Louis, the daughter of Joanne (Velders) and Dennis Spiro of Crystal City.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 19 years: Tony Penberthy; two daughters: Alexia and Makenna Penberthy of Festus; a sister: Dee (Brian Banks) Meadows; her father-in-law: Dennis (Kim) Penberthy; a brother-in-law: Corey (Katie) Penberthy; three nephews: Austin Meadows, Hunter Penberthy and Wyatt Penberthy; a niece: Emma Meadows; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Linda (Jennemann) Penberthy; and a niece: Anna Penberthy.
A celebration of life is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Royale Orleans, 2801 Telegraph Road, in south St. Louis County. Burial is in Imperial. Memorials may be made online at Making Strides of St. Louis; click on “Dedicate a Tribute” and enter team Sarah’s Soldiers.
