Robert S. “Bob” Dunker, 83, of Washington, formerly of Crystal City, died Dec. 26, 2022. Mr. Dunker received his education in Crystal City. He was the owner/operator of Dunker Radiator and A/C Repair until retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Seisl Council#1121, Sons of the American Legion and the Antique Automobile Club of America. He enjoyed collecting antiques, especially gas station memorabilia, and spending time with family and friends. Born Feb. 7, 1939, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Richard and Frances (Sagel) Dunker.
He is survived by his wife: Judy (Ray) Dunker; a son: Bob (Stacey) Dunker of New Haven; two daughters: Teri (Kevin) Nadler of Defiance and Donna (Kelly) Dunker of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren: Aimee (Chris) Tomlinson of O’Fallon, Amanda (Mike) Gilmor of Washington, Mo., and Rob (Tasha) Dunker of Gerald; eight great-grandsons; four sisters: Helen (Rol) Roussin of Crystal City, Doris (Dick) Laiben of Crystal City, Donna (Bob) Stahl of Crystal City and Joan (Brad) Eisenbeis of Florida; two brothers: Elmer (Rosalie) Dunker of Crystal City and Earl (Alyse) Dunker of Colorado; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Dunker of Manchester; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law: Gilbert and Rose Marie Ray; two sisters: Stella Almany and Lorene Wilmoth; a brother: Les Dunker; and two brothers-in-law: Don Almany and Dale Wilmoth.
Visitation is scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, Mo. A memorial Mass will follow at noon at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 6535 State Hwy YY, in Washington, officiated by Father Carl Scheble. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Gertrude Church of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Oltmann Funeral Home.
