Ramona Annette Caby, 69, of the Twin City Area died Dec. 10, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Caby received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southwest Baptist University. She later continued her education at Sanford Brown Business College and received an associates degree as a paralegal assistant. She taught first and third grades in the Windsor C-1 and Dunklin R-5 school districts for almost 15 years. She was a member of Pevely Baptist Church and Sandy Baptist Church. Born in 1947, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Leota Caby.
She is survived by a sister: Wanda Pruett of Farmington; a brother: Brad Caby of Farmington; a son: Daniel (Erin) Caby of St. Peters; and a grandson: Owen Caby.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Bruce Caby.
A funeral service was held Dec. 13 at Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Scopus. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital of St. Louis or to Mount Zion Church in Scopus. Arrangements are under the direction of Liley Funeral Home.
