Steven J. "Steve" Johnson, 64, of Festus died June 22, 2023. Mr. Johnson enjoyed shooting, hunting, country music and watching Cardinals games. Born Aug. 28, 1958, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mary Catherine (Bertels) and Lawrence Edward Johnson Sr.
He is survived by three siblings: Patricia K. Looney, Karen S. Edwards, Timothy J. Johnson; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Lawrence E. Johnson Jr. and Victor K. Johnson; a sister-in-law: Donna Sensmeyer; and a brother-in-law: James Looney.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold, followed immediately by a funeral Mass. A committal service will follow from 2:45-3 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 2000 N. Pennsylvania Ave., in Pagedale. Memorials may be made to the National Head Injury Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
