Ingeborg E. (Hofmann) Hicks, 83, of Festus died June 2, 2023, in St. Louis. Mrs. Hicks was a member of First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She enjoyed casino trips, shopping, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Born April 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Else (Faust) and Franz Hofmann.
She is survived by her husband: Emory L. Hicks of Festus; three sons: Michael L. (Lisa) Hicks of Festus, Joe (Jan) Hicks of Festus and William F. Hicks of St. Louis; two sisters: Helga Fluck and Susanne Spartz of Wiesbaden, Germany; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: Andres Spartz.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis, 5700 Oakland Ave., St. Louis, 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
