Helen Ann LaPresta, 82, of Crystal City died July 29, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. LaPresta was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell until retirement. Born Aug. 2, 1940, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Yates) and Harlan Rudisaile.
She is survived by her husband: Carmen LaPresta of Crystal City; two sons: Mike (Gayla) LaPresta of Ozark and Steven (Renee) LaPresta of Festus; a sister: Margaret (Terry) Wilson of Georgia; a sister-in-law: Ruth Rudisaile of Festus; a brother-in-law: Richard DeClue of Festus; four grandchildren: Justin (Lacey), Danielle, Cameron (Pauline) and Jacob; two step-grandsons: Paul and Brian (Taylor); and two great-grandchildren: Sam and Eli. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Burl Rudisaile, Etta (the late Bob) Oberle and Betty DeClue.
A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
