Lindaman, Velma

Velma Jene (Massey) Lindaman, 83, of Hillsboro died Nov. 14, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Lindaman loved playing guitar and singing, writing poetry and songs, sewing clothes for her dolls and sitting outside to watch the birds. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hillsboro. Born June 13, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ada (Richardson) Massey.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin Lindaman.

She is survived by four children: Ken (Paula) Lindaman of Herculaneum, Don (Stephanie) Lindaman of Bonne Terre, Tammi Craig of Hillsboro and Connie (Tom) Whittley of Festus; a sister: Elaine (Bruce) MacNair of Washington; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home, officiated by Minister Patrick Adam. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a fund being established at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto Chapel.
