Tammi M. (Hancock) Meese, 54, of Festus died May 17, 2024, at Fontainbleau Nursing Center in Crystal City. Ms. Meese worked as a C.N.A. She was of Baptist faith. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and looking for great deals at yard sales. Born Aug. 20, 1969, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Iris (Shook) and Dennis Hancock.
She is survived by three children: Daniel (Tiffany) Hancock of Festus, Amanda Zimmerly of Festus and Trey (Kelsey) Zimmerly of Hillsboro; three grandchildren: Madyson Hancock of Festus, Ryan Schwartz of Hillsboro and Eliana Hancock of Festus; a sibling: Matthew Hancock of Festus; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Jason Hancock, Raymond Hancock and Kevin Hancock.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Heuby E. Moore Band Hall, 711 W. Main St., behind City Hall, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 1034 South Brentwood Blvd., Suite 1510, Richmond Heights, 63117. Aquamation services were under the direction of Hughes Funeral Alternatives at Hillcrest Abbey in St. Louis.
