Sandra Sue Burgett, 81, of High Ridge died Dec. 30, 2023, after a battle with diabetes and congestive heart disease. Mrs. Burgett moved to St. Louis after graduating from Maynard High School. Born Dec. 17, 1942, in Pocahontas, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Marie and Earl Shocklee.
She is survived by her husband: Chester Burgett; two children: Brady Burgett and Cindy (Michael) Horn; four grandchildren: Karlee (George) Schmitt, Devin Horn, Dawson Burgett and Kyndall Burgett; two brothers: Johnny (Nancy) Shocklee and Donald Shocklee; many nieces and nephews; and her dog: Daisy.
She was preceded in death by a brother: James “Sonny” Shocklee; a sister: Earl Dean Baltz; and sister-in-law: Janice Shocklee.
A graveside visitation is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. until a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Palestine Cemetery in Ingram, Ark. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
