Ronald James “Ronnie” Dunn, 76, of St. Louis, formerly of Pevely, died Dec. 9, 2025, at Sherbrooke Village Living Center in St. Louis. Mr. Dunn attended the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton and the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He and his wife both retired from the St. Louis City Post Office. He worshiped with the Catholic Deaf Society in St. Louis. He was a member of the Greater St. Louis Association of the Deaf and the Gateway Silent Seniors, where he enjoyed participating in the dart leagues, playing bingo and socializing at events. He also loved to travel. Born Nov. 28, 1949, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mary V. (Bextermiller) and George Augustin Dunn.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Rita (Siebert) Dunn; eight siblings: David E. (Sheldon Ross) Dunn of Hillsboro, Dennis M. (Elizabeth) Dunn of Marion, Ill., Jeannette L. (Robert) Hanewinkel of Festus, Dean W. (Mary M.) Dunn of Festus, Steve E. (Kay) Dunn of Hillsboro, Irene (Robert) Laiben of Bloomsdale, Dale J. (Monica Linderer) Dunn of Pevely and Denise M. (Scott) Dix of Festus; two sisters-in-law: Sharon (Mal) Surrency of Lakeland, Fla., and Beverly (Howard) Drennen of Kissimmee, Fla.; a brother-in-law: Keith Siebert of Festus; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law: Wilma and Stanley Siebert; two sisters-in-law: Tina Siebert and Darla (Mike) Fallert; a brother-in-law: Kenneth (Glenda survives of Festus) Siebert; a niece: Renee Brannakner; and a nephew: Matthew Hauesler.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at noon Thursday, Dec. 18, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by Father Daniel Kavanagh, director of Catholic Deaf Ministry in St. Louis. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Deaf Society, 12934 Marine Ave., St. Louis, 63146. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
