Wyatt, Rodger

Rodger Paul Wyatt, 85, of Festus died April 22, 2026. Mr. Wyatt was known as a quiet, giving spirit who enjoyed helping others. He built Wyatt’s Auto Sales from the ground up and, through his determination and hard work, was able to rebuild it into what it is today, a reflection of his passion for automobiles and his natural gift as a salesman. He was strong in his faith and was deeply committed to sharing it with others, even during his illness. He will be remembered for his love of family, compassion, perseverance and unwavering faith. Born Dec. 6, 1940, in Portageville, he was the son of the late Troy Paul and Ronda May Wyatt.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Barbara Jane (Porter) Wyatt; four children: Twyla Burton, Rodgena (Rob) Martin, Dianna (Mark) Stilts and Rodger (Christy) Wyatt Jr.; seven grandchildren: Samantha, Heather, Daniel, Christopher, Rodger III, Kaycee and Hailey; six great-grandchildren: Emma, Hannah, Fiona, Logan, Craig and Tyler; three siblings: Carlton, Jerry and Brenda; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Chester and Larry; and two grandsons: Craig Mangnall and Ryan Strauser.

Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
