Rebecca M. Leftridge, 85, of De Soto died July 31, 2026, at The Arbors of Farmington. Mrs. Leftridge loved horses, cats and all animals. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Primrose Baptist Church and was a homemaker who also owned and operated Traveler’s Cafe. She also worked with her husband in the management and operation of Leftridge Masonry. Born May 24, 1941, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Val T. and Verna Mae (Jones) Blackwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert E. Leftridge.
She is survived by three children: Kelly (Jeff) Durrwachter of De Soto, Krista (David) Buxton of Perryville and Kevin (Shannon) Leftridge of De Soto; eight grandchildren: Katy (Jonathon), Weston (Whitney), Lauren (Garrett), Kayla (Andrew), Andrew, Amy (Mick), Mary Kate and Hannah; seven great-grandchildren: Olivia, Annie, Ian, Ella, Addie, Owen and Ava; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Val Joe (Carolyn) Blackwell.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Primrose Baptist Church, 9308 Hwy. E, in Bonne Terre, 63628, officiated by Pastor Randy Murphy. Interment will follow in Primrose Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the Primrose Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
