Priscilla “Jean” McCarter, 85, of Dittmer died July 15, 2024. Mrs. McCarter was a woman of faith and attended Faith Church for many years. She was known as a kind and generous soul who put others before herself. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and listening to music. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle nature and love. Mrs. McCarter was born on April 25, 1939, in Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ervin McCarter.
She is survived by two children: Rick and Debbie; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
A visitation was held July 23 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
