Peggy Sue Gibson, 65, of De Soto died May 31, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Gibson was a branch manager for Bank of America. After her retirement, she became a teacher’s aide in the SPED department for the Grandview School District. Born Dec. 22, 1958, in Wenatchee, Wash., she was the daughter of Jean (McLean) of Wenatchee, Wash., and the late Bernie Hanford.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Mark Gibson, whom she married Sept. 27, 1979; three children: Joshua (Jessica) Gibson of De Soto, Matthew (Maria) Gibson of De Soto and Rob (Tonya) Coleman of Ste. Genevieve; 12 grandchildren; a sister: Dianna (Jack) Snyder of Waterville, Wash.; and a brother: Eddie Hanford of Wenatchee, Wash.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church, 11441 Ware Church Road, in Hillsboro, officiated by the Revs. John Kuykendall and Stan Gibson. Memorials may be made to the Grandview School SPED Program. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
