Patsy Ruth Patterson Krah, 79, of Imperial died March 1, 2025, in Elizabethtown, Ky. Mrs. Krah was an overnight nursing aide for the elderly and ran a cleaning service for many years, but her passions were caring for thoroughbred racehorses and oil painting. Many of her works were displayed in the home she and her husband built, where they raised their family for close to 50 years. She also enjoyed gardening and walking through the woods near her home, especially in search of morel mushrooms. She loved traveling and going on adventures with her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Born July 2, 1945, in Columbiana, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Annie Louise Roberson Patterson and James Monroe Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years: Wilford Peter Lawrence "Dee" Krah, whom she married in 1963.
She is survived by two children: William Krah of De Soto and Tammy (Larry) Kelley of Elizabethtown, Ky.; four siblings: Monroe O’Neil Patterson, Franklin Leon Patterson, Johnny Ray Patterson and Carol Patterson Lucas; seven grandchildren: Kelly (Rob) Krah of Arnold, Kristin (Riley) Krah of De Soto, Katrina Krah of Reyno, Ark., Kimberly Krah of Reyno, Ark., Audrey (Jason) Morris of Reyno, Ark., Elizabeth (Ryan) Skeens of Matthews, N.C., and Patrick (Shay) Krah of Las Vegas, Nev.; and 14 great-grandchildren: Dylan Schmidt of Arnold, Austin Schmidt of Arnold, Skyler Krah of De Soto, Matthew Boyd of De Soto, Asher Boyd of De Soto, Hunter Davis of Reyno, Ark., Liam Krah of Reyno, Bentley Krah of Reyno, Ark., Nova Morris of Reyno, Ark., William Morris of Reyno, Ark., Brooke Morris of Reyno, Ark., Isabella Morris of Reyno, Ark., Desmond Skeens of Matthews, N.C., and Samuel Skeens of Matthews, N.C.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters: Cynthia Rosson and Annie Krah; a sister: Shirley Ann Breaux; a brother: James Earl Patterson; and a great-grandson: Christian Aksamovic.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Friday, March 14, at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Attendees should arrive at Fey Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis, by 10:15 a.m. Memorials will be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
