Norma Jean (Jones) Land, 91, of Arnold died July 19, 2026. Mrs. Land graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis in 1952. When her high school sweetheart came home from the Korean War, they married in January of 1953. Throughout their more than 66 years together, they raised a family and taught them moral values and strong faith. Along with dogs, she loved feeding and watching birds. She enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed family vacations at the beach. Once her husband retired from the St. Louis County Police Department, they moved to Winter Haven, Fla., for 10 years before moving back to Missouri to be with an ailing brother-in-law. She was employed in various jobs, which she enjoyed because of the friends she made at Pope's Cafeteria in West County Mall, Bemis Bag and Footwear Unlimited in Valley Park. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving and soft-spoken Christian woman. Born Oct. 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Irma Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Norval Land.

She is survived by six children: Linda Sue (Jerry), Gary Dennis (Diana), Diane Denise (Walt), Patricia Ann (Billy), Cynthia Louise (Jeff) and Michael Ernest (Ursula); 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Cramer; and a brother-in-law: Roy Cramer.

Services will be private.
