Caine Michael Bruce Jr., 19, of Arnold is scheduled to appear in court next month after being charged with 14 felonies and a misdemeanor in Jefferson County. He allegedly stole items from three vehicles at two different Arnold shopping plazas and is accused of stealing $2,500 from another victim, according to court documents.
Bruce is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 12, court records said.
He has been charged with nine felony counts of stealing, three felony counts of second-degree burglary, two felony counts of first-degree property damage and a misdemeanor count of stealing. He was arrested on July 6, and as of Monday, July 13, he was being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court and jail records show.
According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Arnold Police, Bruce allegedly stole items from a 2017 Ford Edge, 2022 Rivian R1T and a 2019 GMC Terrain on Oct. 30, 2025. He is accused of shattering windows on the R1T and Terrain, and the Edge was unlocked.
The Edge and R1T were parked in the back lot of the Arnold Commons shopping plaza, 840 Arnold Commons Drive. Bruce allegedly stole a purse that had credit cards in it from the Edge, and he shattered the passenger’s side window of the R1T and stole a wallet that had credit cards, the report said.
The Terrain was parked in a back lot at the Water Tower shopping plaza, 1233 Water Tower Place. Bruce allegedly shattered the passenger’s side window of the pickup and stole a diaper bag, according to the report.
Bruce was allegedly seen in recordings from the R1T’s exterior cameras breaking into that pickup and the Edge. He was seen leaving in a Chrysler 300, which investigators later tracked to his home and allegedly found several stolen credit cards, the diaper bag and the clothes he was seen wearing in the video, the report said.
Bruce also allegedly was seen in surveillance video at the Water Tower shopping plaza breaking into the Terrain and leaving in the Chrysler 300, according to the report.
According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Bruce allegedly stole $2,500 from a man on Aug. 20, 2025. Bruce was involved in a photoshoot of a vehicle with the man, when he allegedly got in the vehicle and sped away with the alleged victim’s money.
