Michael Lee Spain, 63, of Crystal City died Sept. 23, 2025, at his home. Mr. Spain retired as a truck driver for Schneider Trucking. He was a member of American Legion 253, Mississippi River Eagles Post and the Glassworkers Country Club. Born Sept. 3, 1962, in Farmington, he was the son of the late Adele Catherine (Boyer) and George Paul Spain.
He is survived by a daughter: Felicia (Matt) Godier of Festus; two grandchildren: Richard and Hunter; a sister: Debbie (Dana) Candice of Springfield; two uncles: David (Betty) Kennedy and James A. Boyer; three nieces and nephews: James (Merrily) Vandiver, Stephanie (Steven) Erickson and Paul Vandiver; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents: Clyde and Virginia Spain and William T. and Leora A. Boyer.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at American Legion Post 253, 849 American Eagle Drive, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
