Maxine (Campbell) Riggs, 85, of Sullivan died Feb. 3, 2024, in Fenton. Born Oct. 29, 1938, in Moro, Ark., Ms. Riggs was the daughter of the late Lillie (Weatherford) and Arnold Campbell.
She is survived by a daughter: Pamela (Earl) Jones; three grandchildren: Kari (JP) Moses, Michael (Carina) Jones and Nathaniel (Courtney) Jones; eight great-grandchildren: Lane Alexander Evans, Emma Lynn Evans, Peyton Evans, Shelby Evans, Dylan Jones, Jenna Jones, Liam Jones and Noah Jones; four siblings: June Arnold, Bettis Campbell, Hazel Joyner and Annie (Ed) Kos; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by three children: Michale Powers, Lisa Dawn Powers and Bobby Edward Powers Jr.; and five siblings: Christine Cagle, Harold (Helen) Campbell, Willard Campbell, Andrew Campbell and Elmer Campbell.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
