Mary Louise Corley, 86, of Festus died Nov. 1, 2025, at Mercy Hospice-St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House. Ms. Corley was retired and a Christian. She enjoyed the outdoors and going on walks, sometimes walking 8 to 10 miles a day. She was proud of and loved spending time with her family. She was known for her compassion, generosity and thoughtfulness as she often donated clothing, linens and more to others. She will be remembered for her love for the Festus community and for her spunky and invincible spirit. Born Oct. 14, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Stone) and Louis Koenig.
She is survived by two children: Brian D. (Tammy Niccum) Corley of Festus and Deborah J. Corley Klingler of Festus; four grandchildren: Matthew E. (Ali Weiss) Klingler of Des Plaines, Ill., Brittany E. Klingler Beattie of Barnhart, Lacé A. Corley (Joseph R.) Devous of Hillsboro and Heather N. Corley of Farmington; eight great-grandchildren: Devyn N. Klingler of Barnhart, Cameron M. Seymour of Barnhart, Raelynn O. Joy of Farmington, Lane D. Corley-Todtenhoupt of Farmington, Chloe M. Devous of Hillsboro, Colten J. Devous of Hillsboro, Elliott S. Klingler of Des Plaines, Ill., and Madeline J. Klingler of Des Plaines, Ill.; and a niece: Sandra Franklin of Foley; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Stephen V. Klingler; and two siblings: Clara Koenig Franklin and Pearl Koenig Hilker.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy South Hospice House, especially Ms. Corley’s hospice nurse, Christie, social worker, Kelsie, and Chaplain Mark, for their care. Per Ms. Corley’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
