Margaret “Maggie” Conwell, 81, of Ste. Genevieve died Feb. 20, 2026. Mrs. Conwell was a member of Hope Church in Ste. Genevieve. She enjoyed dancing, riding motorcycles, spending time with family and talking to people about Jesus. Born Aug. 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dora (Naeger) and John McMahill.
She was preceded in death by her husband: David Lee Conwell.
She is survived by five children: Eric J. (Sara) Forhan, Carl E. (Alyssa) Forhan, Patrick A. (Jodi) Forhan, Jake (Meagan) Conwell and Shannon Conwell; two sisters: Vickie (Ron) Menner and Lynn (Brek) Graham; a brother: Clay (Lesia) McMahill; and nine grandchildren: Tyler, Connor (Hope), Maddie, Kaden, Apollo, Rylan, Remy, Chris and Grace.
A celebration of life will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Taytro’s, 331 N. Creek Drive, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
