Leon Carol Johnson, 89, of Herculaneum died May 23, 2025, at Garden View Care Center in Chesterfield. Mr. Johnson worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, traveling and spending hours in his wood shop. He was a member of Mount Zion Church in De Soto. Born Sept. 5, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of the late Anton and Edna (Neilsen) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Jane Johnson.
He is survived by four children: Leon (Diane) Johnson of Polk City, Fla., Mark (Angela) Johnson of Ellenton, Fla., Cammy (Charles) Johnson of Leesburg, Fla., and Kim (Marlon Reese) McDonald of Florissant; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra K. Johnson; and a sister: Edith Eaton.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Friday, May 30, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
