Kenneth Gayle Hollenberg, 76, of House Springs died March 8, 2024, in O’Fallon. Mr. Hollenberg had a passion for cars and owned an automotive shop. When his children were young, he enjoyed making them go-carts and dune buggies. He also enjoyed shooting guns at the range, hunting, meeting new people, dancing and listening to music as well as spending time with his family, pets and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and outgoing nature. Born Aug. 27, 1947, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late May Marie (Brookshire) Brocato and Kenneth Hollenberg.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Sandra Hollenberg.
He is survived by two daughters: Kim (Todd) Megenity and Lisa Luedde; four grandchildren: Audrey Luedde, Ava Luedde, Mason Megenity and Mari Megenity; three brothers: Rick Hollenberg, Scott Brocato and Mark Brocato; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A graveside service will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
