Katie Mae White, 88, of Festus died Dec. 31, 2025, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in De Soto. Ms. White was a lifelong member of Charter Baptist Church. When she wasn't at church, she enjoyed planning parties and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Born Oct. 12, 1937, in Corinth, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Jasper Douglas and Lillian Gertrude (Hutchison) Robbins.
She is survived by a son: Kevin (Gina Marie) White of Festus; a daughter: Tina M. (Paul) Chesney of Festus; two daughters-in-law: Tammy White of Festus and Terry Moses of Arkansas; nine grandchildren: Lucas, Nathan, Cole, Hannah, Elizabeth, Ashley, Samantha, Katie and Emma; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Randy Lee White and Timmie Glen White; five brothers: Horace Robbins, Doug Robbins, Edward Robbins, Jimmy Robbins and Jerry Robbins; a sister: Martha Rickman; and a grandson: Blake White.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Charter Baptist Church, 15267 Hwy. T, in Festus. Burial will follow in the Charter Memorial Garden Cemetery in Festus. Memorial donations may be made to Charter Baptist Church at charterbaptist.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
