Kathryne Marie Barbey, 64, of Pevely died July 25, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Barbey worked as a residential cleaner. She loved the warmth of the summer sunshine and enjoyed spending time in her pool with family or quietly floating on her own. She took pride in mowing the yard on her Bad Boy lawn mower and loved watching hummingbirds. She loved coffee and enjoyed sharing a little Jack Daniel's with family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Born Dec. 4, 1961, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Sharyne (Recht) Knarr of Festus and the late Henry John Knarr.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Edward Joseph Barbey; a daughter: Ashlee (Jason) Dierker of Arnold; a granddaughter: Addison; a sister: Christine (Jeff) Byerley of Barnhart; and a brother: Kurt Knarr of Festus.
She was preceded in death by her grandson: Dominic.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 11 a.m. until memorial services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Ryan Bushnek. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
