Bonner, Kathryn

Kathryn Ann "Kathy" (Parker) Bonner, 71, of Catawissa died Feb. 18, 2025. Mrs. Bonner was devoted to her faith and family. She loved celebrating the holidays at her house and cooking for her family. She also loved to travel and go on adventures like hiking, camping and floating. She enjoyed her “girl trips,” where memories were made but may not be shared. She took her last trip in 2023 to Florida with her sister to visit their siblings and was able to mark off some of her bucket list items. Mrs. Bonner also enjoyed painting rocks, playing bingo and decorating cakes. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She picked vegetables, worked in a nursing home, was a factory worker, sold House of Lloyd products and won several trips for her accomplishments, and managed at Sally’s Beauty Supply and Oreck until her retirement. Born Sept. 10, 1953, in Bunker, she was the daughter of the late Viola (Clark) Parker and Dempsey Parker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years: John Bonner.

She is survived by six children: Tracy (Oscar) Tirado of Brandon, Fla., Charles (Kelly) Bonner of Hillsboro, Faith Hickelheim of St. Louis, Kristen Solano of Riverview, Fla., Hope Lambert of Pacific and John (Alyssa) Bonner of De Soto; three siblings: Richard (Isa) Parker, Barbara (Buddy) Laur and Dale (Norm) Mars; 12 grandchildren: Casey (Amanda) Smith, Hollie (Jerry) Bone, Tyler Hyde, Sammy Davis, Bailey Davis, Elisabeth Bonner, Angel Bonner, Lukas Oliver, Amanda Oliver, Jonathan Brewer, Layla Bonner and Macy Bonner; and five great-grandchildren: Bentley Smith, Draven Bone, Aiden Zummwalt, Hunter Bone and Greyson Davis.

She also was preceded in death by nine siblings: Shirley, Vesty, Ruth, Polly, Edna, Dorothy, Gene, Joseph and Loren; and a grandson: Jacob Solano.

Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Bell Funeral Home, 709 W. Union St., in Pacific, officiated by Pastor Tommy Schmidt. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wreaths Across America. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell Funeral Home.
