
Joseph Walter Huchowski II, 88, of Arnold died July 30, 2025, at his home. Mr. Huchowski served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955 to 1961. He worked for Frontier Airlines until 1986 and became an entrepreneur with businesses ranging from convenience stores, a hair salon and a doughnut shop. He was a devout Catholic and patriot. He loved spending time with family and friends. Born July 23, 1937, in Grafton, Mass., he was the son of Joseph and Mary Huchowski.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years: Kathleen Huchowski.
He is survived by two sons: Joseph Huchowski III and Jeffery (Laura); two daughters: Kimberly (Scott) Fisher and Mary (Todd) Boehner; a brother: Steve Huchowski; two sisters: Carol Moore and Polly Brockman; 13 grandchildren: Haley, Brett, Braden, Cammi, Rylie, Ashley (Josh), Brandi (Michelle), Sage (Donna), Chase (Andy), Isabelle, Holly, Andrew and Chloe; seven great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Pypor, Bryar, Arbyr, Stryker, Beckham and Quinn; his significant other of 20 years: Joanne Rischbieter; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry, Bob and David; a sister: Dottie; and a great-grandchild: Kynsir Outman.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 15 Forest Knoll Dr., in Fenton. Following the funeral service, a procession will take place to the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks for a graveside service.
