Rachel Faith Huddleston, 32, of St. Louis was recently arrested after previously being charged for allegedly stealing packages from an Amazon warehouse in Illinois and having illegal drugs in a car she drove to an Arnold hotel to retrieve the packages, according to court documents.
She was arrested Dec. 1, and as of Dec. 4, she was being held on a $4,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records said.
Huddleston had been charged on Feb. 28 with receiving stolen property and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, which are all class D felonies and each is punishable by up to seven years in prison, court documents show.
Huddleston on June 13, 2024, drove to the Woodsprings Suites hotel, 888 Arnold Commons Drive, with 28 packages she allegedly stole from an Amazon warehouse in Pontoon Beach, Ill. However, the next day, she was forced to leave the hotel by management for an unknown reason, the probable-cause statement in the case said.
She returned to the hotel June 25 and was arrested. She told investigators she had picked up the packages at the warehouse and left them at the hotel, the report said.
An officer searched the 2012 Buick Lacrosse that Huddleston had driven to the hotel and allegedly found suspected controlled substances. The Missouri Highway Patrol identified the substances as methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to the report.
