Joan (Krusor) Davis, 80, of Dittmer died June 9, 2025, in St. Louis. Also known as “Joan Dougherty,” Mrs. Davis enjoyed attending women’s Bible study at Morse Mill Baptist Church, where she found joy and purpose in fellowship. She held a master’s degree and was dedicated to serving others as a character education coordinator and educator, where she aimed to help students grow into thoughtful, ethical individuals. In her free time, she loved traveling, growing grapes, sharing stories and spending time with friends and family. She will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom and generous spirit. Born Oct. 17, 1944, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Chrystal (Innes) Krusor.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Davis.
She is survived by two children: Shannon (Chris Moenster) Dougherty and Matthew (Emily Carson) Dougherty; a granddaughter: Chrystal; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Karin Cobb.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the College of the Ozarks and mailed to the College of the Ozarks Development office, P.O. Box 17, Point Lookout, 65726. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
