Jerry Meyers, 90, of Pacific died Jan. 11, 2026, in Chesterfield. Mr. Meyers, also known as “POP,” worked as a carpenter for 45 years in the St. Louis area. He worked for RPA Construction as a foreman and carpenter for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959 and held the rank of Specialist Four in the 370th Engineer Co., APO 227, while based in Germany. He was honorably discharged on April 10, 1959. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Missouri AF and AM, the Masonic Lodge in Gray Summit and the Brotherhood of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He also was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in St. Louis. He was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Missouri Tigers. He loved to fish and to watch auto racing. He was known for his heart of gold, genuine nature and honesty. He loved to laugh, have fun and spend time with family and friends. Born Nov. 29, 1935, in Pacific, he was the son of the late Judith Myers and Sylvester Meyers.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Hope Hannah Meyers; and his second wife: Shirley Mae (Barnhart) Meyers.
He is survived by two children: Mark Meyers and Meg Meyers (Tom) Brazill; Shirley’s three children: Debra (William) Anderson, Tony Douglas (Pamela) Haley and Dwain (Debra) Haley; 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Pete, Stuart, Cameron, Taylor, Joseph, Dillon, Rob (Lainie), Andrew (Emily) and Bill; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by his 11 siblings.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a memorial service featuring military honors to take place at noon Saturday, Jan. 24, at Bell Funeral Home, 709 W. Union St., in Pacific. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell Funeral Home.
