Jennifer Ayleen Smith, 44, of Fenton died Oct. 8, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital. Ms. Smith worked as a paraprofessional in the special education department at Seckman High School. She was known for her dedication, compassion, patience and support for her students. She also had a love for baseball and took pride in her role as an usher at Busch Stadium for Cardinal games for nine years. She loved greeting and making each game memorable for fans. She enjoyed attending church, working with her parents, supporting missions and bell ringing with the Salvation Army. She was a frequent visitor at the Arnold Rotary Club and lived by the motto, "service above self." She loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her nephews and niece, traveling, being in Branson braving roller coasters and water parks and going to ball games. She will be remembered for her love, kindness and service. Born Jan. 27, 1980, in Arlington, Texas, she was the daughter of Judith (Gray) and Stephen Smith of Fenton.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two siblings: Stephanie (Stuart) Dace and Stephen (Jo) Smith; her nephews and niece: Lincoln, Beckett and Juliet Dace; a grandparent: Phyllis Gray; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Gerald Gray and Clifford and Ayleen Smith.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until services at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fox C-6 Special Education (SHS).
