Vandeven, Henry

Henry Paul Vandeven Jr., 87, of Arnold died Oct. 24, 2023, in his home. Mr. Vaneven was a retired lithographer and served in the Air National Guard. Born July 24, 1936, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Tenholder) and Henry Paul Vandeven Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Geraldine (Lepper) Vandeven of Arnold; four children: Denise Vandeven (Bob) Ruoff of Imperial, Henry Paul (Linda) Vandeven III of Oakville, Wanda Vandeven (Stacey) Kraus of Arnold and Eric (Brandy) Vandeven of Imperial; two siblings: Elaine Vandeven (Gordon) Waeckerle of Lexington Ky. and Warren (Marilyn) Vandeven of Oakville; eight grandchildren: Reannon Lowery (Adam) Ballew of Fredericktown, Ashley Lowery (Matt) Wanersten of Barnhart, Patrick Lowery of Arnold, Hannah Vandeven (Paul) Seering of Mascoutah, Ill., Henry Paul (Niki) Vandeven IV of St. Louis, Zachary Kraus of St Louis, Alexander Kraus of Arnold and Braxton Vandeven of Imperial; five great-grandchildren: Iris Vandeven of St. Louis,  Adalaide Wanersten, Oliver Wanersten, Eloise Wanersten and Mallory Wanersten, all of Barnhart; as well as many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sibling: Phyllis (Vandeven) Schulz.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday Nov. 3, at St. John’s the Beloved Disciple Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Drive, in Imperial. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister South Count Chapel.
